Benevolent Fund for the Engineers of KSE B Engineers Association is a unique scheme that has been functional since 1977. Bereaved Families of 45 Engineers received the benefit of this scheme as on date. It is a helping hand for the bereaved family of the deceased member.
The fund shall be administered by a Governing Body consisting of a Chairman, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, two joint secretaries, and treasurer and one representative each from each individual units of the Association.
Each member of the fund shall nominate persons / person to receive the benefits of the scheme in the prescribed form. A membership shall have the right to change the nominees / nominee at any time. In an event where in there is no nominee and any payment becomes due, the Governing body shall decide to disburse the benefits of the fund to any dependents / dependant of a deceased member.
In the case of death of any member, the nominee or any other member of the fund shall inform the matter to the Secretary of the Fund. In other cases, the affected member shall contact the Secretary. The Secretary shall verify the facts and call for meeting of the Governing Body at the earliest. The Governing Body will consider the matter and take decisions regarding payments to be made.
The Benevolent Fund members can opt to join “Benevolent Fund Extended Scheme” on their retirement from service with the condition that they are current members without any dues to KSEB Engineers Association and KSEB Engineers Benevolent Fund. They must join the scheme within one year from retirement of service through concerned unit with prescribed application form.
