NO JUSTIFICATION FOR PAY SCALES IN KSEB
The existing payscales in KSEB shows the injustice to Engineers and field staff in the organization. Considering the risk,duty time ,responsibility on field staff and Engineers the scales comparing to ministerial staff are very low. The duty time of most of engineers strarts at 8 AM and the normal duty close at 5 Pm , but after that all engineers have the responsibility of the system for 24 hours.He is living with a disturbed mind for 24 hours. But the normal duty time of ministerial officers are 10AM -5PM, and have no responsibility after 5 PM.

Pay revision for KSEBL is due. We will value your valuable suggestion for the next discussion.
Here are some.
1. Technical wing shall be paid more according to the risk and safety.
2. Tunnel allowance for idukki hep
3. .... Follows.
Charge allowance shall be enhanced - and field engineer at section shall be paid wrt their duty time etc.. So we want to hear from engineers..

Here is a comparison with govt scale. I don't know how it happened? Does that mean we are degraded? We need to know the real issues and if it is correct then why we are not paid !

AE PAY SCALE IN GOVT. IS ABOVE SCALE OF SS WITH MORETHAN 4000RS IN BASIC PAY, BUT IN KSEB AE AND SS SCALES ARE EQUAL .THIS IS REALLY CHEATING FOR ENGINEERS.

APSEB EA POPOSAL
Service Weightages: The service one has rendered to the organization shall be adequately compensated at the time of pay revision. Thus the contribution for the growth of the organization by the seniors is to be recognized in the form of Service weightage. Thus the service weightages shall be given based on the length of the service of an employee.
Hence this Association requests the Management to grant service weightage increments as shown below:
a) Upto 7 Years - Two increments.
b) 7 to 14 years - Three increments.
c) 14 Years to 21 years - Four increments.
d) Above 21 Years -Five Increments

8.Energy Manager / Eneregy Auditor Certificate Allowance: BEE is awarding Energy Manager / Energy Auditor Certificate to promote energy audit where by energy conservation can be achieved. In order to motivate employees of AP Power utilities to get certified Energy Managers or Energy Auditors, an increment be given as allowance for those who get certified.
9.Technical Grade Pay: The Power Sector is a specialized field and is entirely maintained, run and managed by the Engineers with the support of O&M, Accounts and P&G wings. Hither to there used to be different scales for the Engineers and non-Engineers. But of-late this difference is not maintained. All the risk is borne by the Engineers only. In fact the other supporting staff in Accounts and P&G wing have the same duties as in any other departments. At least 95% of the disciplinary cases are on Engineers only.
