Dear Engineers,
The 10th pay commission of kerala has come up with its report on July 2015
THis page wil have esence of it...
Regarding 5 days working hours..
There is also demand from the State government employees for introduction of 5 day week as in the case of Central government. On the face of it, the claim appears to us to be quite reasonable. However, what we notice is that Central government employees work 40 hours a week while in Kerala it is not so. Fur
ther most employees in Kerala live in their own homes and spend long hours travelling to their place of work and back. Hence it would be impossible to increase the working hours in government offices and educational institutions. Further it is a common knowledge that Kerala has large number of local holidays over and above the holidays declared by the Central government. In these circumstances, we are unable to endorse the suggestion by the employees’ associations to introduce 5 day week in Kerala.
Think on!!
It would be really great if we have something like Bank !! 2nd and 4th decalring as holiday

Regarding HRA
The employees’ organisations have sought for HRA at 10%, 20%, and 30% as in Government of India.

But that will not be practical, considering the huge financial commitment. However, a moderate increase is called for. A flat rate of Rs.250 is given to all classes of employees in “other places” (panchayat areas). As the rural–urban divide in Kerala is not very pronounced, the Commission recommends for a minimum HRA ofRs.1000 and a maximum of Rs.3000. The increase ranges from 178% to 700%. It may be noted that 55% of employees are currently getting a HRA of Rs.250.

Just wondering why we cant give central govt rate in HRA?? We follow same rate in DA in parity with Central Govt.. But why not in HRA?? Is that because we all own houses?? if then how about those who dont have house??

Today a post in FB is shooting at EA.. We are glad to see some discussion:)
So facts are here.
2009- SS(HG)/DA(HG) is paid equalant to AE(20740) in government scale. Refer the attachment. where as DA/SS is paid only 18740 which is 2000 rupees less.
2014-DA(HG) is paid equlant to AE and DA is paid 4000 rupees less than Assistant Engineer.

So we are not against ministerial staff having a good pay etc. But we need higher pay than ministerial officers.

AE is the building block of KSEBL!! And same case for other engineers like AEE, EE, Dyce and CE..
i realized one thing after talking to my co engineers irrespective of association" They say we should not compare pay revision with any other cadre"!! Why?? Engineers of Section office comes at 8 where as $$ comes at 10!! Justifying? Then after all what we end up with? stress, financial loss?family? etc..
So if you are not happy with current pay revision and if you think we want a justifying increment like doctors, please get in touch with us!!
1, HRA min 750::(- whats the tax benefit if you rent a house?? 750*12=9000 bucks!!
where as govt employee has 1000 as minimum, 12000. where as a central govt employee or any other private company get 1o percentage of basic=60000:(
So why we are saying dont compare??

2. HTA and hydal will not be paid together??
please lift the regulation on number of allowances!!!

3, working hours of AE at section and other office shall be limited in a uniform manner, all engineers or staff shall start working from 10-5 or 8-5. There should not be any category who work differently in organization except in shifts!!
4, 5 days working!!!
5. TA and DA has to be revised:)
