Upgradations in HRIS packages and Creation of taskforce

Sub : Upgradations in HRIS packages and Creation of taskforce-reg
KSEBL has implemented a package called HRIS for creation of a database of its Human Resources and implementation of payroll and other requirements. This package is working for last several years and most of the data of current employees from the implementation year is captured in the package. The package is working fine and KSEBEA would like to suggest some urgent upgradation required in HRIS.
The following are the suggestions
1. Incorporate the interest calculation of PF in the HRIS package. This will eliminate the need of personnel sitting in PF section and posting interest calculations manually into the system.
2. Feed the previous data (leaves, salary details, other details from service book) of all employees into the HRIS. The current leave data of each employee shall be available live in HRIS. This whole job can be entrusted as a onetime contract job. Entry of data of 35000 employees is not a huge job nowadays. Even scanning of Service books and keeping it as record in HRIS can be contemplated.
3. Create a training module into HRIS so that training needs of employee is mapped, and employee is sent for training periodically
4. Create interfaces to higher officers to register the “APAR” every year for those who have worked under him/her.
5. Incorporate TA/DA module in HRIS so that the employee can directly enter his travel details into the software package.
It is essential that a pool of personnel shall be created as bench strength so that they can be entrusted with jobs of data analysis and other immediate and important jobs propping up. Even the entry of service book details into HRIS can be entrusted to these bench strengths
Engineers Association strongly demands that these important incorporations shall be made in HRIS without any delay so that HR function can be run smoothly
