KSEB is facing shortage of power every day ,if rainfall is normal our shortage willbe 20%,otherwise it will reach upto 50%, then what is the solution ? if we are utilising solar energy upto 10 MU a day , the problem can be solved upto a certain extent.decentralise Solar projects to Panchayath level , there are 1100 panchayaths and 1 MW project requires only 3 to 4 acres of land.this type of project never invite public agitation against it. once installed , it is free of running cost.Technocrats will question this type of projects by cost and PLF.We have lot of runof river projects and seasonal projects , what is the cost and PLF, nobody raise question against it.But everybody question Solar why?Kerala is great ambition of introducing METRO rail with huge investment, that will provide transportation of 10% of Kerala population only , but as far as electricity is concerned it serves 100% of kerala population. So the huge investment for power is reasonable compared to metro. If projects are decentralised , AT&C Loss willbe less compared to other projects . Investment for this type of projects canbe evolved by Govt,KSEB,LOcalbodies and by public participation.
It will more practical than the paper projects, which are sleeping inthe paper for last 25 years, now we are planning to prepare project at Chimeni , Do you think Keralite will accept any Thermal projects ?
Why KSEB not supporting SOLAR POWER?
