Lego-Ingenium

KSEB Engineers’ Association and Electrical Minds forum (EMF), Model Engineering College, Thrikkakkara joinly organised varoius activities from November 14th to December 14th in connection with the observation of Energy Conservation Day.

The program ‘Lego Ingenium’ organised on 14th of December at Model Engineering College, Thrikkakkara for Engineering College Students included various competitions: Seminar  ‘Parla Le Idee’,  Making Short film based on energy conservation ‘Life in Reel’, Making Ad Film based on the same theme ‘ Ad it up’ and Innovative design of gadgets for conserving energy ‘Crear Aparato’.

The concluding session was conducted at MEC, Thrikkakkara on 15th December 2011. The grand function was Presided by Sri. K Babu, Hon. Minister for Excise & Ports, Govt. of Kerala. Inauguration of the session was carried out by Sri. Aryadan Muhammed, Hon. Minister for Power, Govt. of Kerala. In his inaugural speech, hon. minister emphasised the significance and importance of conserving energy.  Sri. Benny Behanan, MLA Thrikkakkara Distributed documents of Free Electrification (Charity activity of KSEBEA) to selected consumers.  Sri. Aryadan Muhammed distributed CFL lamps to selected consumers, as part of energy conservation activities. Prizes were awarded by Sri. Aryadan Muhammed to winners of various  compettions held as part of Lego Ingenium.

Sri.  Muhammed Ali Rawther, Member (Transmission & Gen. Operations), KSEB delivered the Keynote Address.  Sri. TK Mani, Principal, Model Engineering College Thrikkakkara conveyed the Energy Conservation Day Message.

Felicitations were given by Sri. P I Muhammed Ali, Chairman, Thrikkakkara Municipality; Sri Muhammed Kunju, Counciler, Thrikkakkara Municipality;Sri. Xavier Thayenkary, PTA Exe. Member and Smt. Leena T Thimothy, HOD, Ele. Dept., MEC

Technical Seminar followed. Sri. C Jayaraman, Sr. Manager, BPCL-KRL presented paper which was highly informative. Ms. Asha Pradeep, Student Engineer, MEC Thrikkakkara presented her award winning paper. Sri. G S Ajikumar, Director, CEEBA moderated the seminar. Concluding remarks were made by Sri R Anand Krishnan, Student Engineer, MEC.

Welcome speech was made by Sri. E M Shereef, President, KSEB Engineers’ Association. Sri. N T Job, Gen. Secretary, KSEBEA delivered vote of thanks.
