“Challenges of Government Electricity Companies at the Advent of Private Players”
Organized by KSEB Engineers’ Association
India’s power sector is undergoing a transformative shift with the growing participation of private players in generation, transmission, and distribution. While this brings in efficiency, innovation, and customer-centric models, it also places immense pressure on government utilities like KSEB Ltd., which are bound by public service obligations.
State-owned electricity companies face the dual burden of ensuring universal access and financial viability. With rising competition, they must navigate challenges such as tariff rationalization, legacy infrastructure, skill adaptation, and policy reforms—all while maintaining public accountability and trust.
This webinar delves into these evolving dynamics and explores the roadmap for government utilities to stay resilient, competitive, and citizen-focused in a rapidly changing landscape.
