CONSTRUCTION OF PENSTOCK

Installation of Penstock is shown in the figure. Wall thickness of the penstock increases at the bottom level, as the pressure is high. Concrete Anchor blocks and Rocker supports are shown in the photograph. Water from the dam will flow through the tunnel (wherever required) first, and then reaches Valve House. From Valve House, penstock will be constructed and connected to the respective turbine, through MIV etc.
