All of you are aware that the Govt.of India is in the process of enactment of Electricity (Amendment) Bill,2014. As the above amendment shall fail to address the real requirement of the people of the country and further aggravate the situation as in the case of Electricity Act 2003.NCCOEEE (National Co-ordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers – representing all major organizations of Electricity Industry across the country, lead by AIPEF) had submitted a representation to the GOI to drop the idea of enactment of such one sided Bill and decided that if GOI moves towards enactment of the same by placing it in the Parliament for discussion, all major organizations of Electricity Industry will resort to one day strike / work boycott as a mark of protest, on the day of placing the Bill in either house of the Parliament.

In connection with the above , all unions and associations of KSEBL, in a common meeting held on 08-07-2015 at BTR Centre ,Trivandrum decided to go with the above proposal of NCCOEEE .It is decided to have a State Level Convention on 16-07-2015 at 10:00 AM at BTR Centre ,Trivandrum to discuss about the action plan for the above protest.Also decided to organize joint champagne for the same. As KSEBEA is a member of AIPEF (All India Power Engineers Federation), we are intended to participate in the above agitation and have to ensure maximum participation from all units, for the proposed State Level Convention on 16^th of July 2015.
